Summary
A weathered farmer in rural Tamil Nadu flees with his younger son after the boy kills the head of a powerful, land-grabbing upper-caste family. As they hide in the forests, the father's violent past as a young man caught in caste warfare is gradually revealed, forcing him to confront old enemies to protect what remains of his family and land.
