Summary

In 1963, the United States secretly launches a generation ship, the USS Ascension, to colonize a distant planet, sending hundreds of men, women, and children on a one-way voyage. Fifty years into the mission, the apparent murder of a young woman forces the crew to question the nature of their journey and the leadership guiding them, while events on Earth reveal the truth behind the project.
