Summary
Three musically gifted chipmunks - Alvin, Simon, and Theodore - lose their tree home and end up in the apartment of struggling songwriter Dave Seville. After Dave discovers they can talk and sing, he reluctantly becomes their guardian and writes songs for them, launching the trio to pop stardom. As fame pulls the chipmunks away from Dave under the influence of a scheming record executive, they must decide what family really means.
