Álvaro Brechner's Spanish-language drama recounts the imprisonment of three Tupamaro guerrillas — future Uruguayan president José 'Pepe' Mujica (Antonio de la Torre), writer Mauricio Rosencof (Alfonso Tort) and Eleuterio Fernández Huidobro (Chino Darín) — held as hostages by Uruguay's military dictatorship beginning in 1973.
