Summary
A high school student named Clay Jensen receives a box of cassette tapes recorded by his classmate Hannah Baker, who has recently committed suicide. Each tape reveals a different person and event that contributed to Hannah's decision to end her life. As Clay listens, he discovers the interconnected stories of betrayal, bullying, and trauma that surrounded Hannah.
